Dynamic Engineering warrants hardware products to be free from defects in workmanship and materials under normal use and service and in its original, unmodified condition, for a period of one year from the time of purchase. If the product is found to be defective within the terms of this warranty, Dynamic Engineering's sole responsibility shall be to repair, or at Dynamic Engineering's sole option to replace, the defective product. The product must be returned by the original customer, insured, and shipped prepaid to Dynamic Engineering. All replaced products become the sole property of Dynamic Engineering. Any product labeling and/or serial numbers that have been tampered with will null the warranty.
Dynamic Engineering's warranty of and liability for defective products is limited to that set forth herein. Dynamic Engineering disclaims and excludes all other product warranties and product liability, expressed or implied, including but not limited to any implied warranties of merchandisability or fitness for a particular purpose or use, liability for negligence in manufacture or shipment of product, liability for injury to persons or property, or for any incidental or consequential damages.
Dynamic EngineeringÕs products are not authorized for use as critical components in life support devices or systems without the express written approval of the president of Dynamic Engineering.
Software
Purchased software products carry a 30 day limited warranty from the date of shipment. Out of warranty products may have a low cost upgrade path. Please note: most non-custom Dynamic Engineering SW products are provided free of charge. Please also see the Technical Support Packages page for additional options.
Extended Warranty
The hardware warranty period can be extended by up to 4 additional years, providing a 2-5 year hardware warranty. The extended warranty fee is 5% of the current list price of the hardware per year purchased. The extended warranty can be purchased for either 1, 2, 3, or 4 additional years. The extended warranty must be purchased at the time of original hardware purchase. The extended warranty covers labor and readily available, off the shelf components. The extended warranty does not cover obsolete, non-stocked components by Dynamic Engineering. Costs may apply for non-stocked components with MOQ's .
Custom Design Hardware Products
The Design work performed to execute custom design work is warranted for a period of 1 year from the first delivery of boards . The warranty includes engineering design and test time to correct design errors created by Dynamic Engineering. Errors not caused by Dynamic Engineering or are a result of information given to Dynamic Engineering by Customer are not warranted. Test time to determine if the potential error was caused by Dynamic Engineering is included under the warranty if the error was caused by Dynamic Engineering and will be billed at our current engineering rate to Customer if the potential error turns out to be other than Dynamic Engineering design related.
Custom Design Software Products
The deliverable software product will carry a 30 day limited warranty from the date of shipment. Out of warranty product will be supported on a time and materials basis.
